Label a homemade blend clearly

Begin with a small amount and a written recipe so you can reproduce a blend you enjoy. Record each ingredient and its quantity before combining anything. Use clean, dry utensils and an appropriate food-storage container.

Label the jar with the blend name, ingredients and mixing date. Retain the original ingredient labels when allergy or other product information matters. A descriptive name is helpful, but it should not replace the ingredient list.

Add a note about where you tried it and what you might change. Make the next trial separately rather than repeatedly adding to an unlabeled jar. Small batches make comparison easier and keep your shelf understandable.
